HOW AGENCIES WORK

AGENCIES charge Talent 10% (TEN PERCENT) of 100% (ONE HUNDRED PERCENT) performers fee
from ACTING, SINGING, WRITING, EDITING, DIRECTING, PRODUCING and LIVE PERFORMING.
Most AGENCIES PAY TALENT (Starred in more than 10 Motion Pictures) & SPORTS FIGURE

They never charge an up front fee - THIS IS WHAT THEY MEAN BY AGAINST THE LAW TO CHARGE UP
FRONT FEES WHILE HOLDING A LICENSED BY THE STATE AND BONDED - PAID IN FULL. These
AGENTS usually pay the Talent an ADVANCE FEE to sign on. The Talent usually is a good standing
member of the UNIONS - SAG, DGA, PGA, WGA, ETC. and well known before an AGENT will sign them on a
CONTRACT. Well-known Agents are: THESE ARE REAL AGENCIES THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!

HOW MANAGERS WORK

MANAGERS charge Talent 15% (FIFTEEN PERCENT) to 50% (FIFTY PERCENT) of 100% (ONE HUNDRED
PERCENT) Managers charge fees and/or have Photographers they request the Talent to use. The
Photographers usually charge $300.00 to $500.00 (any more may be wrong). And up to $1,500.00 for
Portfolio’s for PRINT WORK. Managers usually refer Talent to go to ACTING CLASSES and/or SEMINARS
as a requirement. Managers may also request Talent to get ACTORS REELS and VOICE OVER REELS.
Managers have been in the entertainment business ever since it started. At the beginning 1920’S to 1970’S
MANAGERS were the ONLY ONES WHO MADE THE CHOICE for TALENTS PAY. AGENTS NOW make that
decision.
